Question 1

How does booking work?

Accepted Answer

Pick your dates on the booking page and the calendar shows what is actually free. It is reading our live inventory, not a form that emails us. Choose your crib and any upgrade, pick a delivery and pickup window, and submit. Payment in full completes the booking, and that is what holds the crib and the delivery window against your dates. You get an immediate confirmation email with a reference code, and one of us confirms personally within a few hours.

Question 2

How far in advance should I book?

Accepted Answer

For Fourth of July week, book in March. For mid-July through mid-August, aim for 8-10 weeks out. Late June and late August usually need 4-6 weeks. May, early June and September are generally fine at 1-2 weeks, and the off-season is fine at a few days. Long Beach Island runs on Saturday-to-Saturday weeks, so availability is decided per changeover Saturday rather than across the season.

Question 3

Can you deliver today?

Accepted Answer

Often, yes. Same-day rescue deliveries are a normal part of our summer, especially in Ship Bottom, Surf City and Brant Beach, which are minutes from our garage. The live calendar is the fastest way to check. If it shows a crib free for tonight, it is genuinely free. If you are stuck at 8pm with a toddler who will not settle, call rather than fill in the form.

Question 4

What is the minimum rental?

Accepted Answer

Three nights. Most of our bookings are full Saturday-to-Saturday weeks, which is also where the pricing is best. A week costs a good deal less than seven nights priced individually.

Question 5

Can I change or cancel my booking?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Cancel more than 7 days before delivery and there is nothing to pay. Inside 7 days we ask for 50%, because that crib was held off the calendar for somebody else. Date changes are free whenever we can accommodate them, and in the off-season that is almost always. Storms and family emergencies are handled like human beings, so call us.

Question 6

Can I rent more than one crib?

Accepted Answer

Yes, up to four per booking online, and more than that by arrangement. Larger houses in Loveladies and North Beach regularly take two or three. Book them together in one booking so the system holds them as a set; those weeks fill first.

Question 7

Which towns do you deliver to?

Accepted Answer

The entire island: Barnegat Light, Loveladies, North Beach, Harvey Cedars, Surf City, Ship Bottom, Brant Beach, Beach Haven Crest, Spray Beach, Beach Haven, Holgate and everywhere in between across Long Beach Township. We also deliver to mainland Manahawkin and Beach Haven West at no extra charge, because we live in Manahawkin and that is our own neighborhood.

Question 8

Do you set the crib up, or just drop it off?

Accepted Answer

Whichever you'd prefer. You choose when you book. If you'd like it set up, we carry it in, put it together in whichever room you want, fit the mattress and protector, put a fresh sheet on and lock the wheels. Someone needs to be home for that. If you'd rather we just left it, we'll stand it covered by your door and you can have it up in about five minutes. Either way, we come back and collect it at the end of your stay, in a window you pick.

Question 9

Can I choose a delivery time?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and it's worth doing. The booking form shows real three-hour windows for your delivery day and your pickup day, with what's actually left in each. Pick one that lands after your check-in. The Boulevard between 2pm and 5pm on a July Saturday is more parking lot than road, so if you have a choice, earlier is kinder to everyone.

Question 10

What if we're running late and miss you?

Accepted Answer

It happens constantly. Traffic on the Parkway, a late check-in, a nap you didn't want to interrupt. Tell us on the booking form where to leave it if you're not there, and we'll stand it somewhere covered and out of the weather. You'll have it up in five minutes when you get in, and if you'd still like a hand we'll swing back when we're next on your end of the island.

Question 11

Can you set it up before we get there?

Accepted Answer

I wish we could, but no. Saturday is changeover day here. The whole island empties and refills at once, and the crib coming to you is very often one we're collecting from another family that same morning. It physically isn't in our hands until after they've gone. So we come on your check-in day, once you're in. Book a window that lands after your check-in time and you won't be waiting around.

Question 12

What crib do you rent?

Accepted Answer

One model: the Dream On Me Quinn full-size folding crib. It gives a genuine 52" x 28" sleeping surface, the same as the crib at home, rather than the 39" x 25" of a pack 'n play. It has rigid slats, two mattress heights and locking casters, and it folds flat enough to carry up a narrow beach-house staircase in one trip. Running a single model is why every crib we own is interchangeable, set up the same way and cleaned to the same checklist.

Question 13

What comes with the crib?

Accepted Answer

A firm 3" foam mattress, a washable waterproof mattress protector, and a freshly laundered cotton fitted sheet, all included. You can add extra sheets for a flat fee, or upgrade the mattress to a Newton.

Question 14

What is the Newton mattress upgrade?

Accepted Answer

A Newton Baby crib mattress instead of the standard foam one. Its Wovenaire core is about 90% air by volume, so it breathes straight through, and the whole thing, cover and core, is washable. Families choose it for three reasons: their baby already sleeps on one at home, the bedroom has no air conditioning and will be warm, or they have a roller and want the extra margin. The upgrade books out before the cribs do, so in peak weeks the crib can be available when the Newton is not.

Question 15

Can I use my own mattress or bedding?

Accepted Answer

Your own sheets, yes, gladly. Your own mattress, no. A full-size crib needs a mattress that leaves no more than two adult fingers' gap at every edge, and we cannot verify that for a mattress we have not measured. It is the one thing we are inflexible about.

Question 16

What age is the crib suitable for?

Accepted Answer

Newborn up to roughly 35 inches tall, or until your child can climb out, whichever comes first. That is the standard guidance for any full-size crib. It has two mattress heights: the higher one for babies who are not yet sitting up, the lower one from the moment they can pull to stand.

Question 17

How do you clean the cribs?

Accepted Answer

Linens are stripped into a sealed bag at pickup and never touch clean stock. The frame is inspected against a checklist before cleaning, sand is vacuumed and brushed out, and the frame is washed with a food-safe sanitizer at its stated contact time, never bleach. Sheets and protectors are laundered hot in fragrance-free, dye-free detergent. We hold enough spare linen to always send out a set that has been washed and fully dried, and each crib is checked over once more before it goes out.

Question 18

Can a crib go out the same day it comes back?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and on a changeover Saturday it usually does. Pickups run in the morning, cleaning happens at our place while the van is out, and deliveries go out in the afternoon, which is why we schedule pickup and delivery windows on opposite ends of the day. Nothing goes back out until it is dry; if a crib cannot be turned around properly in time, we send a different one rather than rushing it.

Question 19

Is the crib safe and up to current standards?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The Dream On Me Quinn is JPMA-certified and meets the current CPSC full-size crib standards: fixed sides (drop-side cribs have been illegal to sell or resell in the US since 2011), compliant slat spacing, and a mattress that fits with no gap. We check every crib we own against the CPSC recall list, and any one that fails inspection comes out of service rather than going out one more time.

Question 20

What if something breaks during my stay?

Accepted Answer

Call or text immediately and we will bring a replacement crib, usually the same day. Because we run one model, a swap is a straight swap, with no substitutions and no downgrades. Normal wear is on us; we are not going to charge you for a scuff.

Question 21

How much does it cost?

Accepted Answer

A full week with the crib, foam mattress, protector and laundered sheet is $130, plus a flat $41 for delivery, setup and collection. Shorter stays are $20 a night with a three-night minimum. The Newton upgrade is $75 a week, or $12 a night, and a month is $395. Second and third weeks are discounted 15%. Everything is on the pricing page, because we do not do 'request a quote'.

Question 22

When and how do I pay?

Accepted Answer

In full, at the time of booking. That is what secures both the crib and your delivery window. On an island that turns over every Saturday we cannot hold either against an unpaid reservation. Free cancellation up to 7 days before delivery, so paying early costs you nothing if plans change.

Question 23

Is there a delivery fee?

Accepted Answer

No. There is a flat $41 delivery fee, and it is the same wherever you are. It covers two trips: we carry the crib in, set it up in the bedroom you choose, fit the mattress and a laundered sheet, and lock the wheels; then we come back and collect it at the end. Manahawkin and Beach Haven West pay exactly the same as the island, because we live in Manahawkin and the mainland is not a detour.

Question 24

Do you take a damage deposit?

Accepted Answer

No, and we have not wanted one. Sand, scuffs and the occasional spectacular diaper incident are the business we are in. Genuine damage or a crib that does not come back is a conversation, not a pre-authorized hold on your card.
